A Richmond native, Tyler obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2017. Creative and compassionate, he uses his skills to serve the public as the Senior Brand and Multimedia Strategist for the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. Formerly a member of WRIC-8 News Tyler served as an on-air reporter and the Digital Executive producer where he received the prestigious Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Digital Journalism. Tyler also uses his multimedia skills as a freelance photographer and videographer and has earned the certification with the FAA to become a Part 107 Remote Pilot.
